Is There A White Chocolate Brownie Mix

Pride, prejudice and mental illness

Dear, how are you? How is your new year? My as ever, proving that the only thing that changes is the drive, or in this case, the decade of the last digit of the date, while the rest remains as it was.

I continue to be persecuted by the small, tasty bad luck I ever had, so as not to lose the habit. Just to make people understand what I mean, you do a small summary of my week.

Wednesday evening I had to go to the cinema to see Avatar . Me and a couple of friends, we agreed to go in the early evening, and despite my insistence we had not bought the tickets (I did not because I took a friend of mine has the card to get discounted price, so it would be she had to go ... we Giometti governs, and 10 € for a film I think, frankly, too - for that price I do not expect only to see the film, but also to get inside and experience the story firsthand. I have the short arms, I know). Obviously, when we got the tickets were gone, and for that show for the next one. We then went to dinner, with my great annoyance, because I'm the guy who hates to dine out (I'm weird, I know, but we're talking about people who, just this week, went out to dinner three times ... now, once in a while is fine, toh, one a month - and everyway I think too much - but a star behind them is a waste of money and buy a pound to no end!)

On Thursday I went to the home of other friends for weekly evening talk - and - chocolate - and - pastries - ex - evening - to - drawing (I'm the only that continues, despite everything, to bring out the block and pencil and disegnucchiare, true to my ideas to death XD) and I tried to give me the suicide manslaughter. To clarify: while driving, I realized I have warm, as is wearing jacket and scarf (which is normal since it was - is - a cold frozen from the internal organs, and before the car to warm up a bit 'should spend a few km), and I had the unfortunate idea to at least take off the scarf. I pulled down the zipper of my jacket and this is stuck on the fringe of the scarf, then, since I'm an evil genius, I had the enlightening idea of sliding it over his head. In doing so, I have flown away his glasses.

Now, I'm blind as a bat. I have about five tenths per eye, made more delicious by about two degrees of astigmatism, so I found myself suddenly can not see anything. And I was in the highway. At night. It was drizzling.

Fortunately, in my bad luck (self-induced, you say, probably rightly so) there is always a bit of luck, because there were no other cars (or truck, thank God ) and I removed the accelerator and searched with a hand-glasses, which fortunately did not fall between the pedals, but between the seat and door trim. I do not think I will try again to take my scarf in the car.

Finally, Friday evening, late, began to tooth pain. Now, if possible, my teeth fell the worst of my sight. I will not be here to haunt us with the troubled history of dentistry in my life, either because they are compassionate, and because the gum beats like a damn and suffering m'affligge ... tonight I had to get up at 5 (after going to bed at 3) for pain, and take two aspirin.

However, yesterday morning I went to the dentist, give me half a glance, to prescribe an antibiotic and make an appointment, I was given for 6 February (" only" two weeks d & rsquo ; wait ... considering that I pay the service fragrant, it's a shame. And at the same time, Boldemort, too, and deservedly hit the surface of the statue of Hogwarts, in a matter of how new is new, the care paid by us poor, stupid muggles ... unfortunately the law is not equal for all, nor are the rights and duties).

out there, rang without a walk for the course, taking advantage of the fact that necessity had forced me to leave the nest despite the cold shooting. So I stopped at the library, noting the billboard hailing the discount crazy and desperate for an infinite number of publishing houses.

is a bit 'I have in mind to buy the Harry Potter books , since I have not a single one (despite having read them all) and what I need when I write some fanfiction and I doubts are idiots, and I thought it might be the right time. Obviously, Salani was the only one without a discount.

However, I found other interesting things.

Small premise: as you all know, I am absolutely obsessed with Jane Austen and his books, "Pride and Prejudice" in the first place. I am also aware is not the only one to cultivate such a setting, and also out of Italy this veneration has led to a flourishing literary production as horrifying failed by looking for glory, or simply looking for a fan later. Not that I feel to blame of all: our culture is a "serial", where a book, a movie, a cartoon created spin-off of any kind, able to dissect every single molecule, again and again, to not let other but dust. That's it.

However, this awareness is not an excuse for me. In short, "Pride and Prejudice" has been used and seen in many different ways: changing the character of the movie characters, scenes, events, some also the time history, Japanese comics that I have not read, but which I doubt that there is consistency (I love Japan, but that its productions are of the Tarot is a frightening fact of life), books out of my head, including one that has to do with Zombies! (No, I'm not kidding. The Bennet sisters are really zombies. It is one thing that makes me want to cry)

Here's what I found (and bought) myself.

1. A book by Pamela Aidan, " for pride and love," the first of a trilogy of history seen from the perspective of Darcy. So far, we may as well be. Incidentally, the title is an all-Italian tarot, since the original one is "An Assembly Such As This."

2. U n Carrie Bebris book, "The Enigma of Mensfield Park, fourth in a series of detective stories (no, I say, yellow) Lizzie and Darcy in the unlikely role of investigators, where each title is also in the original, a nice (so to speak) arrangement of the titles of 5 books written by Austen. I ordered the first, just to not start reading in mid-series.

Now, you probably will hate both, but I do not like to criticize it sight unseen, and when I have to give an opinion, I prefer to do so with a minimum of knowledge. When I finally bit 'of time to devote to reading them will eat, and I will update you on the subject (jubilation and joy, is not it?!?! Do not let those faces in disgust, my dear, after all no one forces you reading my stupid post!;))

The best part, however, must still come, because, by opening one of the two books, both published by the "Tea", I found a leaflet which says:

"The history, atmosphere, characters of the great Jane Austen
in the novels of three authors that perfectly evoke the style of the Regency. "

Mind you, there's three authors wrote. What's missing? Well, it misses the series by Stephanie Barron, entitled "Investigations of Jane Austen" !

Yes, that's right: an author has had the courage not to turn a character (and thus Brebis already made, in my opinion, an embarrassing), but the same as Austen Murder, She Wrote news! Just Jane, the spinster daughter of a minister who lived forty years and died of tuberculosis, probably never out of the little protected world. But it was not enough for Lizzie and Darcy became random investigators as "Granny, Tweety and Sylvester"?? No?

for Merlin, is almost blasphemous! You deprive a person of his dignity, turning it into a circus character! At this point, I could write a book where Giacomo Leopardi, the ugly, hunchbacked, sick Leopardi turns for Italy investigating murders improbable! Come on, you ... you ... have no words to explain it, but I think you understood me.

Poor, poor Jane! The tie will result in his grave, because it must be turning in the throes of terrible tortures.

I have no words. You was a real pain. But the problem was not enough teeth? Why also this?

Destino cruel.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway

Happy New Year!

And another year is over.

With great sorrow I give a farewell to 2009, and all that led to this wonderful year.

This was the year when I decided to quit smoking and started smoking more than before.

This year I decided to go on a diet, and I'm not going to know what are greased.

The year I decided to start going to the gym, but out of the work was so cold, and there was so much traffic, and I was so tired that filavo straight at home by referring to a tomorrow that never came.

year in which I said "I'll find the man of my life!" sgarbonato and I have not even ever, while many of my friends / peers churn their first child.

The year he appeared tufts of hair on my head white, and I do understand that the color is not an affectation but a necessity.

year in which the 3 has become the new decade of my age, although I still feel like a twenty.

year in which a friend, to celebrate my birthday, I got a croissant, because they are unlucky then ... that's not quite so, because I never had the bad luck big but only a series of small things that goes round and round, make life more enjoyable and more incazzereccia.

The year I started to look for a house to live alone, but then I felt so depressed that I let it go because arguing with their parents is better than finishing a cut veins - metaphorically - alone on a Saturday night because you do not have a fucking nobody to talk to.

year in which I was forced to give me the wild and crazy shopping, because what I was falling to pieces or were too tight / short to be worn, but at least I had lucky to find something even in normal shops, without being forced to go to those plus-size, (for the uninitiated, a 46-48 is a great size).

In short, it was an interesting year and, fortunately, ended up with a very nice New Year, unlike the last three that were absurd / Pallos / sometimes demeaning.

I hope you all had a pleasant New Year you too, my dear LJ friends! And rightly so, I could not start the year with my puppies, then:

good 2010 to all!
